Software - AdressZoom

AdressZoom is a software product to convert lists with addresses in upper case into upper/lower case, so they conform to today’s standard of printing addresses in upper/lower case.

The problem in conversion is not to convert a word into upper/lower case, but rather the existence of countless exceptions that may be interpreted incorrectly in a general conversion.

AddressZoom converts about 95% of all exceptions existing in addresses the correct way – be it name, street or town – in German, French, Italian or English spelling!

Here are some examples showing the exceptions that are recognized and converted correctly by the program:

Acronyms:

IBM                    -> IBM
HUBER AG               -> Huber AG
MEIER GMBH             -> Meier GmbH
SBB-ZENTRALSEKRETARIAT -> SBB-Zentralsekretariat
KUNZ EDV-BERATUNG      -> Kunz EDV-Beratung
etc.

Umlauts:

MUELLER -> Müller (Normalfall)
BAUER -> Bauer (nicht Baür)
JAQUES -> Jaques (nicht Jaqüs)
etc.

Special characters:

RENE                     -> René
FREDERIC                 -> Frédéric
NEUCHATEL                -> Neuchâtel
GLANES                   -> Glânes
RUE DE LA CROIX-FEDERALE -> rue de la Croix-Fédérale
etc.

Titles

DR. MED. -> Dr. med.
Dr. DENT. -> Dr. dent.
etc.

Name prefixes:

VON TOBEL   -> von Tobel
DE BOIS     -> de Bois
DELLA PUPPA -> Della Puppa
DEL BELLO   -> Del Bello
etc.

This program is available for large and middle systems as well as for PCs from Windows 95 on.
